A colourful new mural on the walls of an Ingleburn business has breathed new life into the visual amenity of the Ingleburn CBD as part of Council’s Street Appeal Shop Front Improvement grant program.

Created by renowned local artist Luke TEKN, the mural is located in a prominent location on the corner of Macquarie and Oxford Roads features the elements of fire, air, earth and water, representing the balance in Ingleburn’s ongoing growth and development.

The mural was funded through the grant and Percival Management with support from Rain & Horne Real Estate and the Ingleburn Chamber of Commerce.

“Public art helps to build pride in our spaces and lifts the visual appeal of the local streetscape,” Mayor George Greiss said.

“Our recent public art projects across Campbelltown have seen an incredibly positive reaction from people who use these spaces so I’m excited to see this latest project in Ingleburn now complete,” Cr Greiss.

“Combined with the recent works completed to local shopfronts as part of Street Appeal and the recently completed streetscape works on Oxford Road, this is an exciting time for the Ingleburn CBD and I look forward to seeing similar projects happening in the future,” he said.

The Street Appeal grant program provided 37 business across the Campbelltown and Ingleburn CBDs with funding to help improve the visual appeal of their shop fronts. Almost $70,000 worth of grant funding has resulting in more than $225,000 worth of improvement projects across both locations.
