Disaster relief funding

A lump sum payment is available to help people seriously affected by the NSW floods in July. People can apply until 8 January 2023.

Road closures

Menangle Road bridge at Menangle and Cambridge Avenue at Glenfield are now open.

Localised road flooding may occur during periods of heavy rain. Drive carefully and do not attempt to drive through flood waters. Visit Live Traffic to view current road closures and flooding.

For emergency help in floods and storm events

Call NSW State Emergency Service on 132 500 if you have experienced damage from the floods, storms or a fallen tree is threatening your property or a person's safety.

In life threatening situations call 000.

Be prepared and stay informed

  • Listen to local radio stations and visit the Bureau of Meteorology website or call 1300 659 210 for updates
  • Move vehicles undercover or away from trees
  • Secure or put away loose items around your home, yard and balcony
  • Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid 131 388, Endeavour Energy 131 003, Essential Energy 132 080 or Evoenergy 131 093 as shown on your power bill
  • Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water
  • Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
