Make a splash this summer. Join our Splash Into Stories Reading Challenge and have fun reading, writing book reviews, attending library events, and collecting badges. Finish the challenge and you could win great prizes.

 

How does the Summer Reading Challenge work?

The Summer Reading Challenge starts on Monday 1 December 2025 and ends on Friday 31 January 2026.

  • Sign up for free on the Beanstack website or download the app from Google Play or the App Store.
  • Read anything you like; books, comics, magazines, or eBooks, the choice is yours!

  • Log your reading and complete fun activities. 

  • Earn virtual badges for every reading milestone. 

  • Each virtual badge gives you an entry into the prize draw! 

Prizes will be awarded in the Children's, Youth and Adult categories. The more you read, the more badges you earn and the more chances of winning a prize.

Winners will be announced by Friday 6 February 2026.

Terms and conditions

  • The promoter of this competition is Campbelltown Libraries ABN 31 459 914 087
  • The Summer Reading Challenge 2025-2026 commences on Monday 1 December 2025 and ends on Saturday 31 January 2026.  
  • This competition is a game of chance. Winners will be randomly drawn using the Beanstack drawings software. 

  • To be eligible for the draw, entrants must be signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge on Beanstack in either the Children, Young Adult or Adult category and collect the required number of virtual badges. Badges can be earned by reading books, attending library events, and writing book reviews. 

  • Children (ages 0–12 years): must collect at least 7 badges.

  • Young Adults (ages 13–17 years): must collect at least 10 badges.

  • Adults (ages 18 years and over): must collect at least 10 badges. 

  • To enter, you must create an account with Beanstack via campbelltown.beanstack.org

  • All entrants are required to provide their name, email, and age for eligibility and for contact if they are a winner. 

  • Campbelltown Libraries decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

  • Prize winners' names will be announced through Campbelltown Libraries social media channels. 

  • Prizes are non-transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. 

  • Prize winners will be notified by email using the address provided at registration. 

  • Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of notification and must be collected in person at one of our four library branches which include Campbelltown Library, Eagle Vale Library, Ingleburn Library and Glenquarie Library. Prizes cannot be posted in the mail. 

  • Campbelltown Libraries are not liable for any loss or damage, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

  • If any prizes remain unclaimed by Monday 2 March 2026, Campbelltown Libraries reserves the right to conduct a redraw on Thursday 5 March 2026.
