Children's Book Week

Every year since 1945, public libraries all around Australia spend one exciting week in August celebrating books and the joy of reading. The Children's Book Council of Australia also nominates Australian authors and illustrators for the prestigious "CBCA Book of the Year" awards. Past and current winners can be found on the Children's Book Council of Australia website.

Children's Book Week 2023 was held from Saturday 19 August until Friday 25 August and explored the theme, 'Read. Grow. Inspire' with a variety of events and activities.
