Want to trace your ancestors?

Visit the Family History and Local Studies Room at Campbelltown Library.

You can find Australian Births/Deaths/Marriages, Assisted Immigration Records, Unassisted Immigration Records, Cemetery and Burial records and more. These records can be found in our books, microfilm and microfiche collection.

We also have computers set aside for online Family History research including free use (within our libraries ) of the databases:

These databases can be used at any of our branch libraries.

Please note: library staff can help with catalogue searches, finding books and other resources, and will show you how to use the various machines (microfilm readers, for instance), but unfortunately cannot do the research for you.

Research assistance

Our family history help service is temporarily on the move. Beginning Monday 5 May, our wonderful volunteers will move to Eagle Vale and Ingleburn branches to help with your enquiries. The service will return to Campbelltown Library after the move to our new building.

Family history help will be available at Eagle Vale Library on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and at Ingleburn Library on Tuesday and Thursday. The service will operate from Monday to Friday 10am-12pm.

You might find it helpful to search our database covering various Australian historical newspapers from 1831 to 2000. It can be used at the library or from home with your Campbelltown Library card.
