Student Study Resources

Four students studying at the library

We offer a large collection of resources and programs for students in primary and secondary school, including a special collection for HSC and preliminary students.

HSC lectures and study guides

HSC lectures and workshops are run throughout the year. Lectures cover a variety of subjects including English, Legal Studies, and general exam techniques and study skills.

The library has a large collection of HSC and preliminary study guides available on most HSC subject as well as a permanent HSC study guide collection at HJ Daley Library which is not for loan but may be used within the library for study and homework purposes.

For access to past HSC papers, please visit the Board of Studies website.

NSW Premier's Reading Challenge

Many schools and their students take part in the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge which aims to encourage a love of reading through quality literature. The recommended reading booklists aimed at Kindergarten students up to Year 9 students are available on the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge website.

The library holds many fiction and non-fiction titles from the PRC booklists.

All titles can be easily identified in the collection by K-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-9 challenge level sticker labels.

Databases

A variety of free online databases which cover modern and ancient history, health and legal resources, science, biographies, newspaper and journal articles can be found on the Information desk online. You can access most databases in the library or at home with your library card.

Quiet study areas

The library is a great place to visit for quiet study and assignment research. We have study areas and study rooms available at most library locations and single study cubicles at HJ Daley Library, Campbelltown.
