Waratah Cottage Early Learning Centre

At Waratah Cottage ELC we provide education and care for children aged 0-6 years.


Waratah Cottage Early Learning Centre’s philosophy(104KB, PDF) is a mission statement identifying our beliefs and our reasons behind our practices. Our Philosophy has been influenced by staff, children and families that utilise the service and reflects on current practices in the child care field. Parents are welcome to have input into our Philosophy at any time.

Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Rating

At Waratah Cottage Early Learning Centre we have achieved  a rating of Excellent as awarded by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA). The Excellent rating is the highest rating under the National Quality Framework (NQF) and is described as “services that provide exceptional education and care, visionary leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement and comprehensive forward planning”.

Our educational program

We provide a high quality educational program(125KB, PDF) which includes portfolios, reflective diary, projects, group experience and flexible routines.

How much does Long Day Care cost?

Daily fee - Full day (7.00am - 8.00pm)  $99.00
Daily fee - Reduced Hours (8.00am - 5.00pm) $93.00
Temporary care  $105.00

You may be able to claim Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce your daily fee.

Enrolment Fee

A non-refundable enrolment fee of $40.00 per child is payable prior to your child's enrolment and $20.00 for each additional child from the same family enrolled at the same time. This fee includes a child's hat with our Education and Care Services logo.

How do I enrol?

  • The first step in the enrolment process is to complete a request for care(151KB, PDF) form.
  • When the request for care form is processed and a suitable vacancy exists a staff member will contact you to let you know that a position is available and ask you to complete an enrolment form.
  • You will then be asked to attend an orientation appointment at the service.
