Love Food Hate Waste

Did you know that the average NSW household throws away $77 worth of edible food each week?

Visit the NSW Government's Love Food Hate Waste website to learn how you can save money, reduce your food waste and help the environment.

Learn about meal planning, shopping with a list, portion sizes, food storage and using leftovers by following the six steps to reducing food waste at home. You might be surprised by how much food waste is avoidable, and how much money you can save with a bit of planning!

Garden to Table workshops

Council also sponsors free Garden to Table workshops at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living, where you can learn to reduce food waste while learning how to cook new cuisines.

Find out which workshops are coming up at our What's On page, or by visiting the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living's Workshops and Courses page.
