Campbelltown Writer’s Group - Facilitated by Linda Godfrey

If you want to be a writer, or have something you are working on and want to improve, join the creative writing group at HJ Daley Library with Linda Godfrey.

Each session, Linda will give writing prompts that highlight elements of the craft of writing, for example setting, characters, dialogue, plot. The group will write short exercises in prose or poetry, share them with the group.

Time is also set aside each session for participants to workshop 500 words or less of their writing, share it with the group and get constructive feedback. This is a great way for everyone in the group to understand the more formal points of writing. You can improve your writing and explore your creativity in a supportive and relaxed environment.

This writers group will run fortnightly during term two at HJ Daley Library. The first session will be hosted at Wedderburn Writer's Retreat, 391 Wedderburn Road.

Linda Godfrey is a Poet. Writer. Editor. Fiction and has poetry in journals and anthologies. Chapbook of poetry published by Verity La. Winner of the 2021 AAWP’s First Chapter prize.

Age: 18 years and over.
