  • Fisher's Gig - Expressions of interest now open!

    Overview:
    Fishers Gig is an annual All Ages Music event which has been running for over ten years. It is the largest music festival in South West Sydney and runs in conjunction with the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost in November. If you are a young solo artist or band, aged 12 to 24 and who lives works or studies in the Macarthur region and are looking to be part of this fantastic event then this is your chance. Expression of Interest opens from 3 May to 14 June 2013 and Fisher’s Heats will be held at the Campbelltown Arts Centre Saturday 20 and 27 July.

  • Visiting Author Programme - Catherine Deveney

    Overview:
    Renowned funny-girl Catherine Deveny, who lists writer, comedian, author, broadcaster and social commentator among her many talents, will visit the Greg Percival Community Centre in Ingleburn in May as part of the Sydney Writers’ Festival. Catherine Deveny will discuss her novel, The Happiness Show, which is a refreshingly honest story about love. Set in Melbourne, London and Bali, via Tokyo and the Trans-Siberian Express, the novel explores the rules and taboos of contemporary relationships. In true Deveny style, The Happiness Show is sharp, hilarious and unpredictable.
