Meet Vesper,
Vesper is a gentle soul with a soft heart, perfect for first-time cat owners looking to welcome a sweet and sensitive little friend into their life. She thrives in a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and loved at her own pace.
A little shy at first, Vesper may take a moment to come out of her shell - but once she feels comfortable, she’ll reward your patience with quiet affection. She purrs contentedly, makes the sweetest little biscuits, rolls over with trust, and nuzzles into you with the softest head bunts.
Vesper doesn’t need a lot to be happy - just a peaceful space, a kind heart, and the chance to blossom in her own time. Are you ready to meet this lovely little cat with the softest sparkle?
Vesper is open to meet kids of any age. Although she is very engaging and likes being picked up, cuddled & carried she prefers being curled up next to you, or sitting in your lap. She loves being patted, and her ears & chin being scratched.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Vesper would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, Vesper seems ok with making cat friends. We always encourage owners to do a slow & controlled introduction, over a few days, to give both of them a good chance at being friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Vesper has already experienced living outside but she's very happy being an inside cat - she is a very quiet cat who enjoys the peacefulness of inside living where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
Vesper has low to range energy levels & doesn't appear to be that interested in toys. All that she likes is a comfy bed (or your lap).
Vesper is not fussy with her food. She is known to eat any food offered to her and she likes treats, too.
Staff Comments: Vesper is a very sweet cat, she can be shy at times - usually at the start - but she is very easily won over with treats, pats & ear scratches.

Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
