Spice It Up to celebrate culture and cuisine in Campbelltown CBD

Published on 23 September 2022

Local food-lovers looking to immerse themselves in a night of culture, colour and cuisine will want to visit Lithgow Street on Saturday 8 October for Spice It Up.

The one-night-only event will bring a range of entertainment to the Campbelltown CBD alongside special meal deals at 9 local restaurants representing a range of cultural cuisines.

Spice It Up will showcase three themed spaces, including:

  • Forum Q, stylised as an alfresco dining space with decorative festoon lighting.
  • Anzac Lane as Spice Lane, a colourful and interactive space featuring chill out furniture and a live DJ performing throughout the night.
  • Lithgow Street as Sweet Street, complete with dessert trucks, a mini ferris wheel, mini carousel, mixed toy ride, face painting and a special kids zone.

“This is a great opportunity for locals to explore the diverse culture and cuisine already on offer in our CBD,” Mayor George Greiss said.

“By putting a spotlight on local businesses and activating our streetscapes, this event gives a new perspective on the many unique food businesses residents might have seen in passing but never had the chance to explore,” Cr Greiss said.

Spice It Up will take place on Saturday 8 October at Lithgow Street, Anzac Lane and Forum Q, from 5pm to 10pm.

Up to 500 free $10 vouchers will be offered to event attendees to eat at one of the participating restaurants and cafes. A select number of vouchers will be available to book online before the event. A limited number of vouchers can also be collected on the night.

A map highlighting participating businesses and zones will be made available online prior to the event and on the evening.
