Something special is simmering for South Asian Flavours

Something special is simmering for South Asian Flavours Get ready to be amazed by a culinary superstar who knows how to turn up the heat. Depinder Chhibber just smashed it as a contestant on MasterChef 2025 'Back to Win', and will definitely bring her flair and flavour to the stage.

Depinder Chhibber is a familiar face on your TV for good reason: she has just appeared on the hit TV show ‘MasterChef Australia: Back To Win’, and left a lasting impact with her innovative dishes, and engaging cooking challenges, garnering 4th place on the TV show.

First appearing on our screens in 2021, and going viral with her green curry cake, with white Chocolate Chilli Ganache, Coconut Ice Cream and a Coconut Crumb, as well as a homestyle Indian bento box meal that featured chhole (chickpea curry), gobhi (cauliflower) parantha, pickles and salads, Depinder has continued to dazzle, with one of her dishes from this year’s MasterChef earning her the title of the "Queen of Raj Kachori" from the show’s judges.

Also appearing as a guest judge on MasterChef India in 2023, the New Delhi-born, Newcastle, NSW residing mother of two grew up fascinated and inspired by watching her grandmother, mother and aunties cook, with Depinder absorbing all the tales and techniques of their rich Indian culture to carry on those traditions with flair.

The part-time pharmacist has also launched a supper club called Ghar – meaning ‘home’ in Hindi – where she offers diners her homestyle Thali in a home dining atmosphere.

Now, she is keen to show attendees at Campbelltown Council’s inaugural ‘Feast of Nations’, the flavours from her heritage, showcasing the best of South Asian cooking.
