The Summer Book Binge is a reading program that runs during the summer months of December and January. Please check back here later in the year for competition and prize details.

How does the Summer Book Binge work?

Introducing the Summer Book Binge - our new reading program for all ages. 

With one major prize and four minor prizes to give away, summer is the perfect time for book-lovers to visit the library and borrow a book or two!

The Summer Book Binge starts on Sunday 1 December 2024 and ends on  Friday 31 January 2025.

Simply opt-in to join the challenge via our registration form or by speaking to a Library Team Member, and you’ll automatically be entered into the prize draw when you borrow with your library card.

Please note: Entries into the Summer Book 2024 - 2025 competition are now closed.


Eligibility

To be eligible to enter the Summer Book Binge you must: 

  1. Hold a valid Campbelltown City Library membership. 
  2. Opt-in to the Summer Book Binge via our online registration form or by speaking with a Library Team Member.
  3. Borrow an item during the period 1st December 2024 to 31st January 2025, either physically from one of our four Campbelltown City Library branches or digitally through our Borrowbox platform.
  4.  Be able to collect your prize from one of our branch libraries.  We are unable to post your prize.

Terms and conditions

  • Entries for the Summer Book Binge will be accepted from Sunday 1 December 2024 until Friday 31 January 2025.  
  • Only entries from library members with a valid Campbelltown City Library membership will be included in the prize draw. Entries are open to all ages. 
  • Library members must opt-in to join the challenge for their entries to be included in the prize draw. You can opt-in via our online registration form or by speaking to a Library Team Member at any of our branches or over the phone. Remember to update your contact details in case you’re one of the lucky winners. 
  • Any library member who opts-in will receive one entry when they borrow a physical item at one of our four branch libraries during the competition or a digital item from our e-resource platform. Our four branch libraries include HJ Daley Library, Eagle Vale Library, Greg Percival Library and Glenquarie Library. Our e-resource platforms include Borrowbox only.  
  • Campbelltown City Library staff members and their family members are not eligible to enter the prize draw. 
  • The prize draw will be held on Monday 3 February 2025. 
  • There will be one (1) major grand prize winner who will receive an iPad mini (A17 Pro) 8.3" WiFi 256GB to the value of $997 AUD. 
  • There will be four (4) minor prize winners who will receive a Library Gift Hamper to the est. value of $250 AUD each. 
  • Winners will be notified by phone and must be able to attend one of our four branch libraries in person to pick up their prize. 
  • If any prizes remain unclaimed by Monday 3 March 2025, Campbelltown City Library reserves the right to conduct a redraw on Thursday 5 March 2025. 
  • The Prize, or any unused portion of the Prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash.
