Things to remember when disposing of these items

  • Transport your items carefully to avoid breakages and leakages
  • Household quantities means 20kgs or 20L. Some locations will take up to 100L of paint (in maximum of 20L containers) - please check the accepted items at each location first
  • For safety reasons broken globes will not be accepted for recycling - these should be carefully placed in a strong plastic bag, sealed and disposed of in your general waste bin.

The materials collected at these centres are sent to various recyclers to be processed in accordance with strict environmental standards.

Household Chemicals

Campbelltown hosts the local annual Household Chemical CleanOut event. This is a chance for local residents to dispose of household chemicals in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

Similar events are held across Sydney during the year, details are provided on the NSW EPA CleanOut website.
