Appin Massacre Memorial Flag Raising Ceremony

The memorial flag raising ceremony is an annual event held to remember the Dharawal people who perished in Appin Massacre on 17 April 1816.

Appin Massacre Memorial Ceremony

Held in the forecourt of the Campbelltown City Council building, the flag raising ceremony is in honour those who were impacted by the Massacre and show our commitment to Reconciliation.

The Appin Massacre Memorial Flag Raising ceremony will be held on Monday 19 April 2021 from 10am to 11am at Campbelltown City Council in the forecourt.

COVID-19 safe practices will be in place at this event

In line with COVID-19 restrictions on outdoor public gatherings, numbers for this event have limited to 200 people.

If you are feeling unwell or you are in mandatory isolation, we ask that you stay home.
