About Bushcare

If you have a passion for the outdoors and would you like to know more about our local waterways, birds, insects, plants and wildlife, come along and join our Redfern Creek Bushcare volunteer group. You will also pick up some new skills along the way.

Redfern Creek is an important wildlife corridor that runs through Ingleburn and Macquarie Fields. Our bushcare work site at Milton Park supports a range of wildlife from mature forest red gums to water dragons and a nearby significant colony of grey-headed flying foxes.

As a Bushcare volunteer, you will do your part for the environment while rubbing shoulders with interesting and like-minded people. Bushcare groups participate in activities such as tree planting, erosion control, litter removal, weed management and of course, wildlife spotting.

No experience is necessary to attend these events, as we will provide you with all the training you need.
