A glamorous night of fine dining, entertainment and generosity, raising funds in support of St Vincent de Paul Society's Refuge in the Campbelltown LGA.
About the event
This year's event, to be held at Campbelltown Arts Centre on Saturday 4 August, will raise much needed funds for St Vincent de Paul Society's Refuge in the Campbelltown LGA, which provides crisis and emergency accommodation for women and children escaping domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse and homelessness.
The funds will be used to upgrade the dated and tired children’s recreation spaces at the refuge. The centre's play area is more than 20 years old and in desperate need of refurbishment, while spaces used by teenage children for recreation and homework have limited resources available. All funds raised through this event will assist in creating a welcoming space for children in crisis to play and learn safely and freely.
The refuge can house up to 11 families at any one time, providing support to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. The facility provides a safe and secure environment to learn independent living skills whilst empowering people in their care on their personal journey, supporting multicultural practices and respecting diversity, religion and background. They provide meals, information, advice and connection to other community resources such as medical support, education, government assistance and housing.
