Meet Vivid,
Vivid is a soft little soul with a heart as warm as her favourite sunny spot on the floor. She’s gentle, affectionate, and always happy to be near you - especially if there’s a cozy bed or patch of sunlight involved!
Perfect for first-time cat owners, Vivid fits into any household with ease. She might be a little shy at first, but once she feels at home, her sweet and friendly nature shines through. She doesn’t need much to be content - just a peaceful space, a few chin scratches, and maybe a blanket to curl up on.
Whether your home is busy or quiet, big or small, Vivid will settle in beautifully. She’s the kind of cat who reminds you to slow down, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
Vivid is open to meet kids of all ages. She'll tolerate being picked up but prefers all four paws on the ground. She loves all pats and enjoys her chin and her back being scratched.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Vivid would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, Vivid seems interested in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Vivid has already experienced living outside - she enjoys being inside where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
Vivid has low energy levels and is not interested in playing with toys. She prefers to curl up in her bed and make biscuits and purr the day away. She also loves any attention that you give her. She'll happily soak that up all day if she could.
Vivid is not fussy with her food but she is not overly motivated by food, either.
Staff Comments: Vivid is a friendly girl who is getting more confident as she spends more time with us. She's a quiet cat, rarely making noise unless it's first thing in the morning as she likes to greet you. She is a sweet, easy going & low maintenance cat.

Post Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
