Visitor Information Centre Relocation FAQs

Where is the Visitor Information Centre moving?

The Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre is set for an exciting new chapter with the relocation of Campbelltown’s tourism services to its new home in the Campbelltown Council Civic Centre’s main customer service foyer for weekday operations. There will also be weekend operations at the Campbelltown Arts Centre to serve as an exciting new pop-up Visitor Information Point.

When will the new Visitor Information Centre location open to the public?

The new locations are expected to be up and running by mid September 2025.

When will the current location close to the public?

The current Quondong Cottage site will close from Friday 22 August 2025.

Why is the Visitor Information Centre moving?

The Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre has been located at the historic Quondong Cottage since 1998, however the move will see an expansion of the centre’s services in the heart of our city centre. Quondong Cottage is owned by the Campbelltown Catholic Club, who plan to use the site to expand their operations as part of their Senior’s Living Retirement Residences, Siquilla. We thank the Catholic Club for providing a much-loved home for our team for almost three decades.

What are the features of the new location at the Civic Centre?

The move is part of an exciting project to elevate and enhance the space within the Campbelltown Civic Centre’s foyer to increase foot traffic to the Campbelltown Visitor Information Centre.

What parking or other transport options will be available at the Civic Centre location?

The new site is conveniently located in the heart of the Campbelltown Civic Centre. There will be designated P1 parking for campers, trailers and other large vehicles available along the side street just outside the Broughton Street car park behind the 7-Eleven. There will also be parking spaces available inside the Broughton Street car park or in the car park behind the Civic Centre for visitors, with signage for pedestrians directing them to the Visitor Information Centre. The VIC will also be a short walk from Campbelltown Station. Several bus stops provide accessibility to the site from across Campbelltown.

How will the relocation impact the VIC’s operations?

The Visitor Information Centre’s operations, which have been open at the current site on Old Menangle Road from Wednesdays to Sundays, will now be extended and available from Monday to Friday at the Civic Centre, with weekend services offered from the Campbelltown Arts Centre.

What services will be offered at the Arts Centre?

An exciting new pop-up Information Point will be set up and staffed at the Campbelltown Arts Centre on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring that the Visitor Information Centre’s services will be available to the public 7 days per week.

Will all staff be retained as part of the relocation project?

Yes, all existing staff will move to the new location.

Can I still access tourism information during the closure period?

While there may be a short disruption to our services during the move, this relocation highlights our investment in customer services and the local visitor economy. All key local tourism information will be available through Visit Campbelltown.
