Aquatics Conditions of Entry

Campbelltown City Council endeavour to provide a safe and enjoyable facility for all users therefore all persons entering the facility must follow these rules:

  1. Children aged 0-5 years and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who must maintain continuous supervision and remain within arm’s reach.
  2. Children 6-10 years and weak swimmers must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, who must be close, monitor and maintain constant visual contact and be prepared to assist children if needed.
  3. Children aged 11-14 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, who must maintain constant visual contact.
  4. Children 11 years and older may be non-swimmers or weak swimmers and parental supervision should not be restricted by age in these circumstances.
  5. A parent/guardian is regarded as a responsible individual who is sixteen (16) years and over.
  6. Staff have the right to refuse entry to any person at their sole discretion. Staff may at any time remove any patron/s if in the opinion of staff; such patron/s are engaging in disruptive or disorderly conduct.
  7. Patron/s, including those with special needs, and those under their care and control enter the centre, participate in the programs and classes and use the facilities within the centre entirely at their own risk.
  8. Patrons that have been directed to leave the facility due to breaches of conditions of entry will not receive refunds or concessions to their membership.
  9. While in the centre, patrons may participate in a recreational activity which involves inherent risks. To the full extent permitted by law, the centre and Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any injury or death, or costs associated, to any person whilst in the centre.
  10. Lifeguards and/or fitness staff will assist in emergencies. Staff will not provide individual care for patrons. Patrons in need of support must arrange their own support services.
  11. Patrons consent to any medical treatment that the staff may reasonably consider necessary whilst at the centre.
  12. Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any theft, loss or damage to personal property whether in the Centre or elsewhere.
  13. Appropriate swimwear is to be worn when entering the pools and splash park.
  14. Patrons are to follow directions of staff. In case of an emergency evacuation, staff will assist patrons to the evacuation point.
  15. Individuals should use the toilet and showers before entering the water. Babies and children who are not toilet trained are required to wear a swimming nappy and ensure regular toilet breaks are taken.
  16. Individuals involved in the distribution of or who are under the influence of illicit drugs or alcohol are not permitted in the centre.
  17. Individuals with contagious infections are not permitted to enter the pools and splash park.
  18. No food or drinks are permitted in the pool/s and splash park.
  19. Benches, tables and gazebo’s for personal use are not permitted to be brought into the centre.
  20. Mobile phones and cameras are not permitted to be used in change rooms. Patrons may not photograph other patrons without permission of the centre management and those patrons involved.
  21. CCTV cameras are recording throughout the internal and external areas of the centre.
  22. Failure to comply with this notice is an offence under the Local Government Act 1993.

Fitness Conditions of Entry

  1. The minimum age requirement for non-weights based group fitness classes and cardiovascular equipment is 14 years.
  2. The minimum age requirement for weights based group fitness and unsupervised resistance training is 16 years.
  3. Patrons must obey all signs around the centre and all reasonable requests made by Campbelltown Council staff.
  4. Campbelltown Council staff have the right to refuse entry to any person at their sole discretion.
  5. Campbelltown Council staff may at any time remove any patron/s, if in the opinion of staff; such patron/s are engaging in disruptive or disorderly conduct.
  6. Patron/s and those under their care and control enter the centre, participate in the programs and classes and use the facilities within the centre entirely at their own risk. If at any stage patron/s are having difficulty in participating in programs and classes, they will stop participating in the activity and, if appropriate, seek assistance of centre staff.
  7. While in the centres, patrons may participate in a recreational activity, which involves inherent risks. To the full extent permitted by law, the centre and Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any injury or death, or costs associated to any person whilst in the centre.
  8. It is a condition of entry that patrons consent to any medical treatment that the centre’s staff may reasonably consider necessary whilst at the centre.
  9. Patrons with special needs, such as medical, physical or psychological conditions, which are likely to adversely affect their health and safety in the crèche, indoor sports or fitness areas must report their conditions to the staff on duty.
  10. Campbelltown Council does not accept liability for any theft, loss or damage to personal property, whether in the Centre or elsewhere.
  11. Lifeguards and/or fitness staff will assist in emergencies. They will not provide individual care for patrons. Patrons in need of support must arrange their own support services.

  14. Towels must be used at all times. If you do not have a towel, the centre will supply a small towel fee.

  17. Benches, tables and gazebo’s for personal use are not permitted to be brought into the centre.
