Providing a safer community for all

Campbelltown City Council is committed to building a community where residents and visitors alike feel safe and protected.

Council's Community Safety Officers work in collaboration with NSW Police, NSW Attorney Generals Department, local Not for Profit Organisations along with various community groups and teams within Council to develop and deliver programs and initiatives that focus on crime prevention and promoting community safety.

Council, in consultation with the Community Safety Sub Committee, Police, NSW Attorney Generals Department and the community have developed a Crime Prevention Plan (2015 -2018) to address identified issues within the local community.

Our work is guided by the City's Crime Prevention Plan which outlines the following core activities and initiatives:

  • Home Break and Enter Prevention Project
  • Crime prevention through environmental design services
  • Safety audits
  • CCTV implementation
  • School Community Safety Education Programs
  • Park Smart project
  • Facilitation of the Community Safety Sub Committee

Reporting Anti-Social Behaviour

In the event of an emergency, call 000. To report incidents requiring Police assistance such as malicious damage including graffiti, stealing, motor vehicle/vessel theft or lost property, call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.

Damage to Council assets and facilities can be reported directly to Police on 131 444 and Council on 02 4645 4579.
