Plastic Free July
Campbelltown City Council is proud to support the global Plastic Free July movement, helping our community reduce single-use plastics for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Join over 174 million people worldwide this July by choosing to refuse single-use plastic and making simple changes that make a big difference.
Why it matters
Single-use plastics like takeaway coffee cups, drink bottles, pre-packaged produce and food wrap are large contributors to litter and landfill. In fact, Australians throw away 2.7 million takeaway cups every single day, and these can’t be recycled due to their plastic lining.
By participating in Plastic Free July, you’re helping to:
- Reduce litter in our streets, parks and waterways
- Create cleaner Campbelltown
- Support a more sustainable future for everyone
