Linda Sok: Reincarnations of an altar cloth

28 May 2025 ‘Linda Sok: Reincarnations of an altar cloth’ presents a selection of works from the ongoing series ‘Deities in Temples’ by Cambodian-Australian artist Linda Sok. Delving into the matrilineally handed down practice of Pidan, the ‘Deities in Temples’ series presents re-imaginings of lost, stolen, collected, and destroyed silk weavings.

Peter Gregson: Volcanoes & Tornadoes

28 May 2025 ‘Peter Gregson: Volcanoes & Tornadoes’ presents work by the late Peter Gregson, a Kameygal man from Sydney’s La Perouse region, and an important member of Campbelltown Arts Centre’s Little Orange Studio. Gregson worked in ceramics, drawing and relief sculptures, depicting wildlife, thunderstorms, Uluru, volcanic eruptions and tornadoes.

Sooty Welsh: Inspired

31 May 2025 Uncle Kevin ‘Sooty’ Welsh is a Wayilwan Elder and artist based in Coonamble, north-western NSW. Uncle Sooty’s hand built ceramic pots and items are inspired by cultural objects and the natural environment. His markings, etched into the clay, are linked to the designs carved into trees by his Wayilwan ancestors.

Tertiary Talk with Artist Linda Sok

03 Jun 2025 Tertiary students and early career artists are invited to a special event with Cambodian-Australian artist Linda Sok, presented as part of her exhibition Reincarnations of an Altar Cloth at Campbelltown Arts Centre (CAC). The event includes an onsite guided tour of the exhibition at CAC, followed by a live online artist talk with Linda hosted via webinar and streamed onsite at CAC.
