Campbelltown City Council, at its Ordinary Meeting on 12 May 2020 authorised the General Manager to adopt and formally notify the commencement of the Menangle Park Contributions Plan 2020.

In accordance with the Ministerial Direction (Section 94E) dated 21 August 2012, the maximum amount that can be levied on residential development is capped at $20,000 per lot/dwelling.

Amendments to the plan

The amended Contributions Plan is in accordance with advice issued by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (Minister’s nominee) on amendments required following the IPART review of the Plan.

  • These amendments were required to enable Council to levy a contribution in excess of $20,000 for residential development.
  • The amended Plan will be deemed an “IPART reviewed contributions plan” in accordance with Clause 5(3) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment (Local Infrastructure Contributions) Amendment Direction dated 28 July 2017.
  • The amended Plan will enable Council to seek development contributions that reflect the reasonable costs of providing essential local infrastructure to accommodate the development of the release area. Development contributions are levied on certain development to help fund essential local public infrastructure, such as open space and recreational facilities, community facilities, key road and transport facilities.

Menangle Park Contributions Plan 2020

The Menangle Park Contributions Plan 2020 came into force on Wednesday 24 June 2020 and applies to all new development applications submitted (or Complying Development Certificates issued) on or after this date.
