Home Library Service
The Home Library Service provides a free home delivery of library materials to people living in the Campbelltown area who are unable to visit the library because of incapacity due to age, illness or disability.
How does it work?
First, we get to know you and what you enjoy. Our team build a personalised profile about you to understand your needs and preferences. A home library service team member then selects items from the collection on a regular basis to meet your needs and preferences.
We organise a regular delivery to you in your home. The delivery service is provided by Campbelltown Library with assistance from Meals on Wheels volunteers.
If you or your loved one are currently living in residential aged care, we may already be providing our service to that location.
What kind of items are available?
There's a wide range of resources available including:
- Fiction and Non-Fiction Books
- Large Print Books
- Audio/Talking Books
- Entertainment DVDs
- Music CDs
- Magazines
- Online Resources
- Materials in other languages - from our collection and from the State Library NSW.
Who is eligible?
Anyone living in the Campbelltown LGA who is unable to make regular trips to the library for an extended period of time may be eligible. The Home Library Service can be organised for both short-term and long-term needs.
Eligibility criteria may include:
- Age
- Vision Impairment
- Disability
- Recovering from a procedure
- Illness/Injury
How do I get started?
To get started, fill out our Home Library Service Request Application using the online form or by downloading and(PDF, 165KB) printing a paper copy. You can return the paper form to any of our branches in person or post it to: Home Library Service, PO BOX 57, Campbelltown NSW 2560.
Once we have received your application a team member will contact you.
Services to nursing homes
The Home Library Service team also provides delivery services to nursing homes. Options for this service include bulk loans of materials as well as individual loans for residents.
