Creating art with waste items

We have developed a range of resources to enable educators to raise awareness with children and take a journey to less waste to create a better planet for us all.

Getting Sorted - your waste wise guide

Designed for educators and staff this Getting Sorted - your waste wise guide(PDF, 1MB) has been created to implement a range of exercises and activities with confidence. From teaching our children about what we can do to protect the world we live in, it also prepares us for a future of less waste and how to make better waste decisions.

If you would like a hard copy sent to you, please send our Resource Recovery Education Officer an email at wasteservice@campbelltown.nsw.gov.au with your details and we will pop one in the post for you.

Games for loan – coming soon!

We will have games available for loan that will support the actions in the waste wise guide. The games include:

Memory card game: covering 3 themes - composting, worm farming and recycling. Use these cards to learn more about what can be composted, what to feed your wriggly worms and what can go in the recycling (yellow lid) bin.

The giant worm game: a floor mat game that focuses on how to worm farm. It will be time to get wriggling and find out how to look after the interesting little creatures and what to feed them as you go.

Flash cards - composting or worm farming: in these games our early learners need to work out which items can be composted or not, or which items their worms can eat or what will make them feel not so good.
